Next was the leveling of the chair seat which goes in several stages. When I say leveling I mean finishing off all the facets left from carving and shaping the seat. This can be done using the travisher, then scraper then sand paper. It may take an iteration or two. Also before this where the tenons come through the seat and the tenons them selves need to be leveled off using a gouge. Then special attention need to be taken in these areas when leveling so as not to tear out these areas.

Using a travisher to level the seat
Using a spoke shave to chamfer the rear of the seat
Using scrapers to level the seat
Sanding to finish leveling. The process with the scarpers and sanding are sometimes repeated using finer grit sand paper until you are satisfied. In other words its done when its done.
