easy wood projects
Today I tapered the hole for the tapering plane with my tapered saw reamer. I then sawed the flat area that accepts the blade and the escape for the shavings. I ordered some tool steel to make a blade for this but in the meantime I will use a couple of plane blades to start tapering some legs and dummy tapered tenons. I will drill and attach these with carriage bolts, washers and nuts. Since the plane blades have a slot they will be adjustable. If you are interested in buying a tenon cutter Lee Valley sells them (Lee Valley Veritas Tenon Cutter) . I have seen these in use and they are solid.
