As you walk in the house it self you are presented with a presentation of the main staircase but for some reason you are drawn to the right, into the living room first. The chairs and furniture are not original to the house but are in the craftsman theme.

It is a well light spacious area ready to welcome, comfort and entertain guests. The windows invite us to sit back read or go and look out to the front of the house. You are surrounded by light and warmth. In the evenings the fireplace will do what the sun did in the day, warm and comfort us.

Book case shelf appears thin but is built to hold many volumes without sagging.

Buzzer for servants. The servants lived in the servants quarters and were only summoned when they were needed. They did not roam the house. The Thorsens valued their privacy.
